Local communities have a significant potential in terms of saving energy and converting to more sustainable energy sources. SEC-BENCH will develop a web-based benchmark solution to help local communities to identify, plan and realise this potential.
Networking
SEC-BENCH will work with municipalities through new or existing national or regional networks.
Planning
The SEC-BENCH municipalities will assess the energy consumption data of their municipal buildings and installations in order to use them as input in developing their local energy plans.
Indicators and Benchmarking
The SEC-BENCH project will develop relevant indicators for municipal energy performance. These will be quantitative indicators, as well as qualitative indicators.
Benchmarking
The project will develop a web-based tool for municipal energy performance benchmarking.
